Suite setup
When you buy a suite setup ($299, paid once), we set up the multi-page suite with the details and photos you send us and deliver it ready to go live within 5 business days of receiving everything we need. It includes two rounds of changes before handoff. Hosting is not included: you can host the site yourself, or add our monthly service ($49 a month), which includes hosting and small edits as described below. Without the monthly service, later changes are quoted before any work begins. The setup fee is not refundable once work begins.
Who we are
Shop Site Templates is operated by Ricky Hersey, a sole proprietor based in Jacksonville, Florida ("we", "us"). By buying from us or using our services, you ("you") agree to these terms.
Our services
We sell website templates, build websites for you from our templates ("We Build It"), design original websites from your ideas ("custom design"), and provide monthly hosting and care for websites we build.
Templates
When you buy a template, a template collection or an agency license, you receive the files and a license to use them as described in our template license. Templates are delivered by download. Demo images shown in templates come from free stock libraries and are subject to those libraries' licenses.
Sample content. Every template includes sample business details, reviews, ratings and statistics for demonstration only. You must replace or remove them before you publish your website. You are responsible for everything on your live website.
We Build It websites
After you request one, you see a free instant mockup of your site. There is no charge unless you approve it. Before launch we include two rounds of changes; further rounds or a switch to a different design may be quoted. The $99 build fee covers a site built from one of our one-page or multi-page templates. Custom projects are quoted separately. When you approve, you pay the build fee of $99, and we aim to publish your site within 3 business days of receiving everything we need from you, such as your photos, logo and domain access. Additional pages, online stores, booking systems and larger changes are quoted separately before any work begins.
We use AI tools to help draft website copy. A person reviews every site, and you are responsible for checking that the facts about your business are correct before approval.
Previews and mockups
Before you pay, we may send you a private link to preview your website. The preview, including its design, layout, text, images and code, belongs to Shop Site Templates until your build fee is paid in full. It is shared with you only so you can review it. Please don't copy or save it, share it with another designer or developer, or use any part of it on another website. Preview links are private, hidden from search engines, and close on the date shown on the page.
When you approve a preview, we record the name you type, the date and time, your email and internet address, and the version of these preview terms you agreed to, and we email you a copy. Your right to use the finished website begins when your payment goes through, under these terms and our template license.
Custom design
Custom projects begin with a free consultation. We then send a written quote listing the scope, price, payment schedule, number of revision rounds and expected timeline. Work begins once you accept the quote and pay any deposit it requires.
Every custom design is original. When you show us websites you like, we use them as inspiration only. We do not copy another party's text, images, logos, code or other protected material, and we may decline requests that would.
Monthly service
Hosting and care for We Build It sites, custom sites, and suites we set up when you choose to add it, costs $49 a month, starting one month after you pay the build fee, and renews monthly until cancelled. It includes hosting, a security certificate, backups, a monthly speed check, and small edits as described below.
You may cancel at any time by email or text. Service continues until the end of the period you've paid for, and fees already paid are not refunded for partial months. If a payment fails and isn't resolved within 14 days, we may pause the site until it is.
We aim to keep sites available at all times but can't guarantee uninterrupted service, for example during hosting provider outages.
Small edits
Your monthly service includes up to 1 hour of small edits each month. Unused time does not carry over to the next month.
- Included: changes to what's already on your site, such as words, prices, hours, phone number, photos, adding or removing a service, team member, review or special offer, and seasonal banners.
- Not included: new pages, new sections or features, redesigns or new layouts, online stores, booking or payment systems, logo design, writing long new content such as blog posts, and work on email, social media or other websites.
- How to ask: send requests in writing by email or text, grouped into one message when you can. We complete small edits within two business days.
- Bigger requests: if your requests go past 1 hour in a month or falls outside small edits, we'll tell you the price before starting: $25 for each extra half hour, or a fixed quote for larger work. Nothing is charged without your approval.
- Fair use: we may decline requests that are unlawful, abusive, or that would hurt your site's speed or security.
Ownership
Your domain is registered in your name and paid for by you. Domain names are not included in any of our prices. Once you have paid in full for a We Build It or custom site, the website files for your site are yours, and if you leave we will provide a copy of them. Templates remain subject to the template license. We may show your finished site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Your content
You are responsible for the logos, photos, text and other material you give us. You confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights. We may refuse content we reasonably believe is unlawful or infringing.
Refunds
- Templates: templates are digital files delivered instantly, so all sales are final. You can view the complete live demo of every template before buying. If a template doesn't work as shown in its demo and we can't fix it, we will refund your purchase in full.
- Template collections and agency licenses: they include the templates in them on the day of purchase, and the same final-sale and fix-or-refund terms as single templates apply. Templates added later are not included.
- Suite setup: not refundable once work begins.
- We Build It: the mockup is free. The $99 build fee is charged when you approve your mockup. The build fee covers building your site and two rounds of changes before it is published. Because work begins as soon as you approve your mockup, the build fee is not refundable once paid.
- Custom design: as set out in your written quote.
- Monthly service: cancel anytime; no refunds for partial months.
Liability
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. We don't promise any particular search ranking, number of visitors or business results. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects an active monthly service, we'll let you know by email at least 30 days before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
