Questions about the Restaurant Suite

What pages are included?

Home, Menu, Reservations, Private events, Gift cards and Visit. Every page shares one header, footer and settings file, so your name, phone and hours update everywhere at once.

How do reservations work?

Guests pick a party size, a date and a time. Only times you’re open are offered, with your last seating and holidays handled. The request is emailed to you and you confirm by text. Use OpenTable, Resy or Tock? Paste your link and the page shows a Book online button instead.

How do I change the menu?

Every dish is plain text in menu.html: a name, a price, a short description and its dietary marks. Copy a line to add a dish. The filters and badges update by themselves.

How do gift card payments work?

Through your own Stripe or Square payment link, so the money goes straight to you. You paste the link into one setting, and each order’s details are emailed to you.

Can I use my own booking or ordering system?

Yes. Point the reservation button at your booking site, and add a link to your online ordering in the menu or header.

Can I add a page for catering?

Yes. Use the private events page for catering, or have us add a separate catering page.

Does the gift card page work on its own?

Yes. It is the full Olive & Ember gift card page, running on your own Stripe or Square account.

Are the demo photos included?

No. The demo uses stock photos to show the finished look. Your download has labeled placeholders with the best size for each photo.

Will my site stay this fast?

It ships scoring 98 to 100 on Google PageSpeed for phones, so your pages show up before visitors give up and tap back to Google. What you add changes that: very large photos, chat widgets and extra tracking codes slow any website down.
