Getting started
Should I buy a template or have you build it?
If you're comfortable editing a text file and already have hosting, a template is the least expensive way to get online. If you'd rather not touch it at all, choose We Build It and we'll handle everything for $99 and $49 a month on a one-page or multi-page template, or $299 to set up a multi-page suite.
What if none of the templates fit my business?
Ask for a custom design. Send us an idea or a site you like, and we'll design an original one for you. Or tell us your trade on the contact page; a new template may already be on the way.
Will my site work on phones?
Yes. Every site is designed for phones first and tested on small and large screens.
Will my site show up on Google?
Every site is built with clean structure, fast loading and proper page titles, which are the basics Google looks for. Ranking also depends on your Google Business Profile, reviews and competition, so we can't promise a position, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
Templates
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The setup guide explains how to change the text, photos and colors in plain language.
Where can I host a template?
Anywhere that serves ordinary website files, including free hosts like Netlify, Cloudflare Pages and GitHub Pages.
Can I use one template for several businesses?
The standard license covers one website. For more, buy another copy, or get an agency license ($299 for the standard templates, or $599 with the multi-page suites), which covers unlimited sites. See the template license.
Can I get a refund?
Templates: because they're instant downloads, sales are final. Try the full live demo first, since it's exactly what you get. If something doesn't work as shown in the demo, we'll fix it or refund you. Sites we build: the mockup is free, so you see your site before you pay. After you approve it, the $99 covers the build and two rounds of changes, and isn't refundable once we start building. See the refund terms.
How fast are the templates, and will my site stay that fast?
Every template scores 98 to 100 on Google PageSpeed for phones, and each score links to Google so you can test it yourself before you buy. Speed matters because people on phones leave slow pages before they call. Your finished score depends on what you add: shrink your photos, and go easy on chat widgets and extra tracking codes. We build it
How can it be only $99?
We start from our own tested templates and use AI to draft your copy. A person then reviews and finishes every site, so the build is quick, and we pass that on.
What do I need to give you?
Your business name, services, contact details and any photos or logo you have. A link to your Google listing or old site is often enough for us to start.
What does $49 a month include?
Hosting, a security certificate, daily backups, a monthly speed check, and up to 1 hour of small edits a month, like hours, prices, photos or a new service. Bigger jobs get a price first, and you decide. See what counts.
What isn't included?
Extra pages, online stores, booking systems and larger redesigns. We quote those before any work starts.
Custom design
Can you make my site look like another website?
We can design an original site inspired by what you like about it, such as the layout, colors, mood or a feature. We won't copy another company's text, photos, logo or code, and the result is your own design.
How much does a custom site cost?
It depends on the pages and features. After a free consultation you get a fixed quote in writing, and that's the price you pay.
Can you use my logo and photos?
Yes, as long as they're yours or you have permission to use them. If you don't have photos, we can suggest licensed stock images.
Ownership and billing
Do I have to buy my own domain name?
Yes. Your domain name is bought by you, in your name, usually about $10 to $20 a year from any registrar. It isn’t included in any of our prices. We help you set it up so it’s always yours.
Who makes changes after my site is live?
On our $49 a month plan, we do: up to 1 hour of small edits a month. If you bought a template or collection, or host a suite yourself, you make your own changes. We still fix any bug in a template for free.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name. Template files are yours under the license, and sites we build or design for you are yours once paid for.
What happens if I cancel?
We send you a copy of your complete site and help you point your domain wherever you like. There's no contract and no exit fee.
When am I charged?
Templates at checkout. Sites we build: $99 after you approve your mockup, then $49 a month starting one month later. Custom: as set out in your quote.
Do you store my payment details?
No. Payments are handled by Stripe. See our privacy policy.
