What's built in

A ready-made six-page layout with a verse of the day, livestream, events and prayer requests. Everything below works in the demo right now.

Six pages

Home, about, visit, watch, connect and give, so each need has its own page.

Verse of the day and livestream

A daily verse and a place for your livestream or recent sermons.

Service times and events

Weekly times and upcoming events, updated from one simple file.

Prayer requests

A private prayer request form.

Online giving

A giving page ready to link to your giving provider.

A church layout built around first-time visitors

Most first-time visitors look a church up online before they ever walk in. They want service times, what to expect, where to park and a feel for the people, and members want the livestream and a way to give.

Laurel Hill gives each of those its own page, keeps service times and events in one simple file a volunteer can update, and includes a private prayer request form and a giving page.

Set up Laurel Hill for your church

Most church sites are kept up by volunteers. A little planning before launch keeps the site current long after the person who set it up moves on.

Write the Visit page for a first-timer

Answer what a newcomer worries about: where to park, which door to use, what to wear, how long the service runs and what happens with their kids. Those answers bring more first visits than any other page.

Pick one person to own the events file

Service times and events come from one simple file. Name one volunteer to update it each week, and remove past events so the site never looks out of date.

Connect your livestream and giving

Paste in your YouTube or Facebook live link and your giving provider’s link. If you do not stream, use the Watch page for recent sermon recordings instead.

Decide who receives prayer requests

The prayer request form is private. Choose who receives it, such as the pastor or a prayer team, and say on the page who will see the request and how it is kept confidential.

Questions about this template

Is it easy for a volunteer to update?

Yes. Service times, events and the verse list live in one plain data file with a how-to-update guide.

Can it connect to our giving platform?

Yes. Link the give buttons to Tithe.ly, Pushpay, PayPal or whichever service you use.

Can we add a page for ministries or small groups?

Yes. Use the Connect page for ministries and groups, or have us add a page. Each group gets a short description, a meeting time and a contact.

Will the verse of the day change by itself?

Yes. The verse updates daily without anyone touching it, which keeps the home page fresh between event updates.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The download includes a START HERE guide that walks you through photos, text, colors and going live in plain language. If you would rather not touch it, we build it for you for $99.

Are the demo photos included?

No. The demo uses stock photos to show the finished look. Your download has labeled placeholders that show what goes in each spot and the best size.

Will my site stay this fast?

It ships scoring 98 to 100 on Google PageSpeed for phones, so your pages show up before visitors give up and tap back to Google. What you add changes that: very large photos, chat widgets and extra tracking codes slow any website down. The START HERE guide shows how to shrink your photos and test any page for free at pagespeed.web.dev, so you can keep it fast.
