How to find your Place ID or review link
Two free ways. The first is quickest if you manage your Google Business Profile.
From your Business Profile
Search your business name on Google while signed in to the account that manages it. Choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link. Paste it into the tool, or use it as it is.
With Google’s Place ID Finder
Open the Place ID Finder, type your business name and city in the map’s search box and pick your business. Copy the ID shown on the map. It usually starts with ChIJ.
Not a Maps link
Links copied from the Google Maps address bar or share button don’t include the ID the review form needs, so the tool will ask for a Place ID instead.
Always test it
Open the finished link on your phone. It should show your business name with the stars ready to tap.
Ask for reviews the way Google allows
A review link makes asking easy. These rules keep your reviews from being removed.
Ask every customer
Send the link to everyone, not only the customers you expect to be happy. Filtering people first is against Google’s rules.
No rewards
Discounts, gift cards or prize drawings in exchange for reviews aren’t allowed, even for honest reviews.
Ask soon after the job
Send the text the same day, while the work is fresh in their mind.

Google review link questions
What is a Google review link?
A web address that opens the “write a review” box for your business on Google in one tap. Customers don’t have to search for you, find your listing and look for the review button.
Where do I find my Google Place ID?
Use Google’s free Place ID Finder on the Google Maps Platform site: type your business name and the ID appears on the map. Most Place IDs start with ChIJ. If you manage your Google Business Profile, the “Get more reviews” link from there works too.
Is it against Google’s rules to share a review link?
No. Google’s own Business Profile help suggests sharing a link or QR code to ask for reviews. What breaks the rules is offering rewards for reviews or only sending the link to customers you expect to be happy.
Why does my review link open Google search instead of the review form?
Usually the Place ID doesn’t match a live listing: it was mistyped, the listing was merged or moved, or it’s a Maps code rather than a Place ID. Look the ID up again in the Place ID Finder and make a new link.
Do you keep what I type?
No. The link is built right here in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to us or stored.
Can I get a QR code for my review link?
Yes. Google shows a QR code next to your review link in your Business Profile under “Get more reviews.” Our $29 Review Booster adds a print-ready QR code, cards to hand out, counter signs and your own review page.
